The ascent punctuated by breaks, takes up the best part of the day, but what a feeling of satisfaction you get! Going on further, you find yourself in another dimension. More remote, wilder and far less frequented, where the silence is so omnipresent that you feel compelled to listen to it. Meanwhile, keep your eyes peeled for a glimpse of an Ibex or even a Chamois.
Lastly, don't hesitate to ask your mountain guide for advice about the preparation for testing your climbing and skiing skills. Why not take up the challenge of a nocturnal ascent. (The ski season is strewn with nocturnal ascents on manageable slopes, which often end in a friendly evening, spent on the mountain side!)
